Coming back to this month’s transcription, I let the character herself explain what it is about in this song: I press you (my ring) devoutly to my lips, to my heart, because before having meet my future husband I found myself in deep desperation and hopelessness. But thanks to the power of love I discovered life’s deep eternal worth. The music describes with an incredible care and emotional involvement the different, sometimes contrasting emotions present in the text.
After having already published 3 wonderful songs by the same composer I decided to arrange more of them, motivated not only by my immense love for his music but also by the very positive feedback that the previous releases received from many great players. My most sincere thanks to them!
Like Schumann, I can say that this transcription (You ring on my finger) reflected also a very special personal moment of my life, as one can easily infer from the title. The arrangement was started and completed in an early morning of August 2018 in the wonderful city of Salzburg, Austria. This aspect makes this piece for me even more special to me.
